It's ok don't worry it's a dry heat........

So I thought I should probably actually get on the blog myself and give everyone an update now that this news is official. As I'm sure many of you guys have figured out Lindsey and I were offered a great job/opportunity with a company called PBI/Gordon. I will officially be a Territorial Technical Representative. I will basically call on the reps like me right now. I will cover more territory. My territory will be Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Hawaii. We are going to be deciding over the next couple weeks where exactly we are going to move to. Right now I think it is going to be either Vegas or Phoenix. We are both leaning pretty hard to the Vegas area. Mostly because it will make it so much easier on me and my travel needs. Plus I think everyone I have told we might be in Vegas said to put them on a list because they are coming down to stay with us. Which won't be much of a problem because we are most likely not going to have a tough time finding a house to buy down there right now. There are sooooooo many houses on the market and it will definitely be fun to look at a ton of different homes and areas.

We will be staying in the Spokane area until the end of April. My last official day with Wilbur-Ellis is going to be sometime during the first full week of April but PBI and I both want to make sure we do whatever we can to make this situation easier for Wilbur. So I will most likely work with my replacement (if they have one by then) to help get him into as many supers as I can. So I will most likely travel out of Spokane for those two weeks until we make the move for real. Thank you all for the prayers and words of encouragement. I'm sure Lindsey will keep you posted better than I have.

No moving to St. George for us :(

But we are moving to Las Vegas Nevada!!! Heck yeah!! We heard back from Steve from PBI today and they offered Mikey the job, we can't live in St. George because its not in his territory but at least its still in a warm area! And the LDS population there is still pretty high! Thanks everybody for all your prayers and support! We will keep everybody updated on when we will be moving, most likely the end of April! We are so excited!

Update on Mikey's trip to Kansas City

Mikey went to Kansas City last week to interview for a new job...at first we really were VERY confident that he would get offered the job. Then about a week before he was planning on going he found out they were taking 2 other guys there too :( Then a couple days after that he talked to the regional dude, Steve and he kept hinting to Mikey that he was going to get the job, so again we were pretty confident! Then the trip came, he did an awesome job like he always does :) Then they told him that one of the other guys they interviewed really impressed them too, they didnt expect him to, so that kind of made us a little sad. They are deciding between Mikey and this other guy and will let us know hopefully the middle of this week (I think we have waited long enough HAHA) One thing that is kind of discouraging is yesterday in basically all 3 classes in church they talked about accepting God's will and not yours! So that got us thinking...we are getting to the point now where we feel comfortable with whatever happens, although I REALLY want this job! I will definitely keep everybody posted and would ask all of you to keep us in your prayers :)

UH OH!!!

So today Mikey found out that they are flying 2 other guys back to Kansas City to do a 2nd interview!!! AAHH!! I sure hope Mikey gets this job! He said the VP really likes him and is going to push for him to get the job, so it looks good, but it looked a lot better when I thought it was just Mikey flying to KC! Please everybody pray for us! :)

Happy Birthday to ME!

Last Saturday was my 25th birthday!! I'm soooo old :) We decided to head down to visit Mikey's parents down in Vancouver for the weekend. They just returned from Africa last week, they had been down there for about a month doing dental work, they had a blast so we wanted to hear all the details. Joann also brought back a bunch of souvenirs! She let us pick whatever we wanted and I think I took a little too much, sorry! :) While we were down there Mikey thought it would be a great time to buy a new TV! We sold our other one and made about $250 on it, and down in Portland there is no sales tax. He is like a little kid when he goes into electronic stores, its hilarious! We got a HUGE TV, he'll be happy for about a month then want a bigger one :) We also went out to Olive Garden for my birthday with Steve and Joann, Sarah and Brian, and Steve Kulin and Heather (good family friends) Sarah being the sneaky sister in law that she is told our waitress it was my birthday so they sang to me! I dont know why but I get so embarrassed when stuff like that happens, but it was fun! We had a great time, it always seems to fly right on by! We left on monday in the pouring rain, it rained the whole drive home but Mikey is such a good driver I wasn't too scared.
You're all probably wondering what that PBI/Gordon picture is? Well...we have some great news hopefully! Mikey interviewed for a job with them a couple weeks ago and they called him back yesterday to fly him back to Kansas City, where their headquarters is, and they will most likely offer him the job! No we wouldn't be moving to Kansas City (Thank heaven) we are both feeling really good about St. George!!!!!!! YAY!! He flies back there on March 11th and will meet with them on the 12th, so we'll let everybody know. Keep us in your prayers! He would be a manufacturer rep for New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, California, and HAWAII!!! I am so excited! I finally will get to go a couple times!
Oh I finally got a job, its not the best in the world, but its a job. I'm cleaning houses, its a great workout and really difficult but I really need to get back into shape, so its all good. I started last week and am really getting the hang of it. I also interviewed for a job at an optical company which I would absolutely love! I will find out this week if I get a 2nd interview! Keep me in your prayers too :)
