Winter is here?

Ok so the storm we got a week ago was supposed to be a big one. They were calling for up to 11 inches! We wake up the next morning and nothing. Then this week they were calling for 2 to 4 inches of snow and we get about 12 and they say last night we might get another inch or two. We wake up to this.........................

22" of snow and its still snowing! Lindsey hates the fact that its this bad. When I was shoveling her exact words were "ok thats ridiculous". She likes looking at it but not having to go out in it. I love it all! You just have to drive a little slower but how can you not love snow. It is so light. It has been so cold so there isn't any moisture in it at all. I can't wait to go take a shower get dressed and drive to work. (I might have to hit a couple parking lots on the way to make sure there aren't any donuts that need to be made)

Here are a couple more pics I took this morning.

This is just out from our back door on our fence.

My truck. Thats how high the snow is on our street. Thank you 4 wheel drive.

Lindsey's car. Ya don't think she will be making it out today. :)

This is the walkway I had to shovel out again this morning.

We both just hope we can make it to Utah on Saturday before the BYU football game starts at 6pm. Can't wait to spend the week (maybe more if it keeps snowing) down in Utah next week.

Thanksgiving part 2

Here's just a few more pictures from Thanksgiving. We will be heading down to Utah this Saturday and we'll have a ton more pictures then...we are kinda boring right now. OH! actually I have a story about last night...I had just gotten home from achievement days and as I pulled in I saw some guys forcing my neighbor into a truck, I waited for a minute and they had thrown him on the ground, so me being the big buff person I am :) I walked over and started yelling at them to stop, ya not very smart! But anyways they said they were his cousins and thats what cousins do and even my neighbor finally said he was ok, so I started walking away and heard him moan and one of the boys said "oh no he's bleeding, its not worth it" so I told them I was calling the cops, I called 911 and as soon as I did that they all left and my neighbor went inside and said thanks...kinda weird eh? About an hour later I headed back to the church for tithing settlement and saw my neighbors twin brothers and started talking to them, they said their cousin was trying to get their brother to come to young mens and thats why they were beating him up. The cousin was at the church too, he came up to me and apologized and felt like a total idiot! HAHA so did I, but at least I know my neighborhood is kinda safe, the only thing I have to worry about is STUPID BOYS!!!

Thanksgiving at the Sorensen's

This Thanksgiving we were planning on going down to Utah to celebrate it with my family, I was already going to be down there for the Celine Dion concert with Mallory but it got postponed :( so we decided we would both rather go down to Utah for Christmas since Mikey has never seen Temple Square with all the Christmas lights!! And Im sooo excited to see my Hunter and Tanner open all their gifts! So anyways we went down to Mikey's parents for a week, and we had a blast! Other than me being sick the first 3 days! Mikey went to the bishops storehouse and got some food storage done for us, Joann and I went shopping for Thanksgiving and got me some fabric so I could make another fleece blanket ( I think I'm addicted now) Mikey and his dad did a whole bunch of work around the house and got a whole lot done! Steve is going to do ortholastics (sp?) on me so I can finally get rid of my vampire fangs so we went to his old office and got that all taken care of. Wednesday we headed over to Mikey's grandparents house to help them bring their Christmas boxes down the stairs, we got to visit for a while with them and had a blast! Gram even made us some awesome soup!! Then Thanksgiving came, we had about 25 people come over, had a fabulous lunch and had a great time! Friday after we tried to go to Joanne's fabric for some more fleece and decided it wasnt worth waiting in line for like 3 hours!!! crazy! We also went and cut our very own Christmas tree!! it was sooo fun!

Yep he's making me do the hard work :)

Vegas!!

This last week we got to go to Vegas for Mikey's customer appreciation. We left early wednesday morning and came back late Friday night. While we were there they went golfing while I drove the cart (I didnt drive it into the water like the rest of my family like to haha ERIC!) They even let me hit a few balls! It was a gorgeous course surrounded my HUGE homes overlooking the Vegas Strip. We ate lunch at Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville haha!! so weird! We also got to walk down the strip a little bit on Friday, and it reminded us both why we hate going to Vegas! But we had a great time and really didnt want to come back to the freezing weather but its good to be home

Best husband EVER continued

YAY!! Mikey made it home!! Safe and sound! He had a GREAT time with all his brothers and dad! But I think I had an even better time looking for all my surprises! The first day was the hot cocoa day, 2nd day the note was hidden in my little "girl" box and it was filled with Hershey Kisses, the note told me to eat a kiss everytime I start missing him...yep they were ALL gone by the end of the day :) 3rd day was hidden in the middle of our food storage, which is basically just piled on the floor of our extra room, it had a note and a bunch of Hershey Hugs!! YUMMY!! the note said everytime I need a hug eat one...same as the kisses gone by the end of the day! 4th day was hidden under our bed, just a note this time but in the note he told me to go to any store I wanted and buy myself a new bra (he hates my Target ones) and some new undies, sorry if thats too much info! and not to worry about the price! So of course I went to Victoria's Secret...spent 90 bucks there!! woo!! 5th day was hidden in our crock pot, a note and a FULL bag of kisses and hugs!! I needed those that day! The last day the note was hidden in his toiletry bag, or as my mom says toilet-flower bag, haha get it? What a weirdo! anyways it was a note saying he was excited to see me and a 3 pack of gum! yay!! All his little surprises made it so much easier for me to be home alone for 5 whole days!! I am soo glad he is home!

Best husband EVER!!!

So this morning I took Mikey to the airport so he could go to New York to hunt with all his brothers and dad. He is going to be gone for 6 whole days!!! Because he is the best husband ever he left a few surprises throughout our house. The first card was left in my car that I didnt find til I got home, inside was of course a cute little note, but also a $10 gift card to my favorite hot cocoa place EVER!! plus 1 free one! Then it gave me a clue for the next card that I cant look for til tomorrow!! AAHH! Its going to kill me to have to wait but it gives me something to look forward to everyday and something to remind me how much Mikey loves me :) I'm going to miss Mikey like crazy but I'm way excited to see what other surprises he has come up with! I'll keep the blog updated to make everybody jealous :)

Blankets

So as some of you might know I have been called as the achievement days leader for the 10 and 11 year old girls in my ward. It has definitely been a learning experience, Im not usually around girls that age, if it were the boys I would fit right in :) Luckily there are a few girls who LOVE sports and can't wait til I get to teach them how to play! This last week we decided to do a service project and make little baby fleece blankets, I had to task of getting the fabric, cutting it and cutting the edges to tie, I had never done that before but I think they turned out pretty good! I got frustrated a few times but I finally finished them about 5 hours later! The girls ended up tying 3 blankets and they had a BLAST!! The blankets turned out soooo cute! I think I might have to make me one of my own, I'll have to wait til my fingers heal from all the cutting!

Even more pumpkin pics!

Mikey carved one of these pumpkins, its supposed to be Stewie from Family Guy, but its carved over a drawing of Homer Simpson :) We tried finding some stencils online but NOBODY had any Homer ones!! I carved a Frankenstein one! It was sooo fun! We only had 2 trick-or-treaters! The cutest little witches in the world! Elorie(sorry about the spelling) and Lily! Luckily we bought a bag of candy hoping they would come :) The reason we only had 2 is because our front door is in the backyard of our landlords house, so we got lucky! Anyways enjoy our lovely punkins!

PUNKINS!!

Last week Joann and Steve(Mike's parents) came up to visit, we went to The Melting Pot on Friday night, it was sooooo good!! After that we went to see Phantom of the Opera! It was awesome! Saturday we went to a place called Greenbluff, its just a bunch of farms with fruit and veggies and stuff, we got a ton of apples and 4 pumkins. We made apple sauce, and hung out Saturday. Just last night Mike and I finally carved one of the pumpkins, I took some pictures but am kinda stupid with computers and accidentally erased them when I was trying to import them to the computer, I'll take some later. Anyways heres some pics from Greenbluff and making apple sauce.
WAIT!! I found the pictures!! YAY!
