Blankets
So as some of you might know I have been called as the achievement days leader for the 10 and 11 year old girls in my ward. It has definitely been a learning experience, Im not usually around girls that age, if it were the boys I would fit right in :) Luckily there are a few girls who LOVE sports and can't wait til I get to teach them how to play! This last week we decided to do a service project and make little baby fleece blankets, I had to task of getting the fabric, cutting it and cutting the edges to tie, I had never done that before but I think they turned out pretty good! I got frustrated a few times but I finally finished them about 5 hours later! The girls ended up tying 3 blankets and they had a BLAST!! The blankets turned out soooo cute! I think I might have to make me one of my own, I'll have to wait til my fingers heal from all the cutting!

Even more pumpkin pics!
Mikey carved one of these pumpkins, its supposed to be Stewie from Family Guy, but its carved over a drawing of Homer Simpson :) We tried finding some stencils online but NOBODY had any Homer ones!! I carved a Frankenstein one! It was sooo fun! We only had 2 trick-or-treaters! The cutest little witches in the world! Elorie(sorry about the spelling) and Lily! Luckily we bought a bag of candy hoping they would come :) The reason we only had 2 is because our front door is in the backyard of our landlords house, so we got lucky! Anyways enjoy our lovely punkins!

PUNKINS!!
Last week Joann and Steve(Mike's parents) came up to visit, we went to The Melting Pot on Friday night, it was sooooo good!! After that we went to see Phantom of the Opera! It was awesome! Saturday we went to a place called Greenbluff, its just a bunch of farms with fruit and veggies and stuff, we got a ton of apples and 4 pumkins. We made apple sauce, and hung out Saturday. Just last night Mike and I finally carved one of the pumpkins, I took some pictures but am kinda stupid with computers and accidentally erased them when I was trying to import them to the computer, I'll take some later. Anyways heres some pics from Greenbluff and making apple sauce.
WAIT!! I found the pictures!! YAY!

Update
So because of our nosy friend whom we won't name here (Starts with a L ends with oretta). I have been told by my beautiful wife that I need to update our blog.
So here we go.
In the past few weeks we have been to a wedding, family reunion, and the Puget Sound to watch the #8 ranked BYU cougars beat the UW Huskies.
The wedding of course was BJ and Nicoles. It was fun to see all the Utah folks and was fun to see how happy BJ and Nicole were. I've got to give Garrett some props too. 4 of the guys went golfing and Garrett was one of them. I have to admit he has improved a lot over the last couple months.
Lindsey and I also went to the first official Alder family reunion. (Thats Michael's mom's side of the family). We had about 2/3 of the family there and I think we had right around 100 family members attend. It was held in Bend Oregon. It is in the central part of Oregon and was both perfect weather and a great time.
Lindsey also had a kidney stone that was about 1/3 inch in size. She had to have surgery to break it up and it went great and we are both hoping we don't have any further issues. Lindsey will find out tomorrow at a doctors appt if the found out anything from the portions of the stone she was able to collect.
As for the BYU game. What else can I say other than the fact that BYU freakin rocks. Doesn't matter what the officials did or didn't call. At the end of the day it was a win and they have gone on over the past couple weeks to show it isn't a fluke. Not sure if they will end up going undefeated this season or not but it was a lot of fun to cheer the cougs on with the rest of the family.
Lindsey and I have a busy next couple weeks. I will be leaving this coming Thursday for what Lindsey likes to call my "Redneck" trip. I am taking a couple clients to play golf and then attend the Talladega Nascar race in Alabama. I then fly from there to New Jersey to play golf with a couple of the other Wilbur-Ellis guys for a couple days. This trip worked out perfect. Lindsey will be flying out next Thursday and we will be spending almost a week together in Williamsburg, VA. We are looking forward to a vacation together. Pictures and more details to come in a couple weeks. Loretta you will have to wait because we won't be updating our blog while we are on our vacation :)
